Once you complete your free practice test, you will receive an instant diagnostic breakdown. If your likelihood of passing is borderline or below, we will purchase the corresponding online prep program for you at a discounted price.

Test Prep Services

Test Preparation Courses are offered at Clarkson University for the GRE© (Graduate Record Exam).

The preparation courses are eight weeks in length and are offered during the summer. Classes meet two times per week. The courses are divided into two sections: Verbal (which includes analytical writing) and Math. You may enroll in the components separately, or if you feel you can benefit from a review in both areas, then please register for both the verbal and math review components. Class size is limited to ensure individual needs can be addressed.  For more information about dates, times, fees and how to register for the GRE© Prep Course, please contact Testing Services.

The GRE© is taken by prospective graduate students who plan to apply for admission in a graduate level program of study. GRE© test scores are used by colleges and universities throughout the country as an indicator of general verbal, mathematical, and analytical writing ability. The GRE© score is viewed by admissions officers as a significant predictor of performance in graduate programs.

The eight-week GRE© Prep Course is offered during the summer. The majority of class time is devoted to examining each area of the GRE© in depth, exploring the rationale behind correct answers, and understanding the underlying principles that apply to related questions. Our instructors are professional college level math and English teachers who are dedicated to helping you achieve the best score possible. All courses begin with a diagnostic test, which will help the instructor evaluate each student's strengths and weaknesses. Class size is limited to ensure individual needs can be addressed. 

Clarkson University is also a testing site for FE, GMAT, GRE©, NYSTCE, TOEFL© and other widely-used admissions, certification, licensure, and professional exams. These exams are administered on campus in our testing center located in BH Snell Hall, Room B10A.
